"These small-scale instruments are true steel drums; not toys! They sound fantastic! Dennis Martin has done a terrific job bringing the steel drum into the hands of younger people and music educators. If you want an affordable yet fully functional steel drum, or are looking to add to your music program, these pans are a must!"

Rhythmical Steel developed these instruments and stands in "1994," specifically for the Orff Schulwerk line of instruments

Steel Drum Instruments also called Steel Pans or Pans, originated on the Island of Trinidad. The enchanting sounds of the Steel Pans are often associated with ocean breezes, WARM SANDS, palm trees, smiling faces, and the CARIBBEAN.

Rhythmical Steel developed these unique musical instruments for Orff Schulwerk. You can now bring the exciting sounds of the Caribbean into your classroom and still be able to use the same music materials you already have.

The music book, "Island Dreams," by Alice Olsen, has Calypso Melodies to be accompaniment by Rhythmical Steel Alto, Double Bass, Vocals, and other Orff Instruments. To purchase this popular music book visit Alice Olsen's web site at: www.aliceolsen.com

All Rhythmical Steel Alto and Bass Pans are hand crafted by Dennis Martin from brand new 30 gallon barrels, which are made in the Pacific Northwest. By using traditional techniques and combining strobe tuners during the tuning process, each instrument is brought into A 440 concert pitch. This Allows Rhythmical Steel Drum Instruments to be played alone as a solo instrument or to be played with other groups of instruments.
