Sadie and Josie's Bakery is meeting the needs of La Center, Washington and all the surrounding areas including Portland and Longview! Sadie and Josie are sisters that worked at Save On Foods in Woodland, Washington for 11 years. After the store closed its doors the sisters decided to start a mobile bakery so they could keep serving fresh baked goods to the customers they had come to know. Their mom, Sharon and dad, Dennis have been there from the beginning as well. After two and a half years selling from a back of a trailer it was time to move into a storefront. Sadie and Josie's Bakery opened its doors on September 30, 2010. Now their big brother Christopher has joined forces too! He also worked at Save On Foods in Woodland, he was there for 13 years. Sadie and Josie's expectations are to put out the very best tasting wholesome baked goods using the highest quality products. They bake almost everything from scratch without preservatives, not from pre-mixes, or bake off. Like Sadie and Josie say, "Scratch is not scratching the top of a box while opening it," it is going to the bakery kitchen and getting out the real flour, sugar, butter, eggs, milk, etc. Now being located in a storefront Sadie and Josie's Bakery is able to have all kinds of Donuts! They have fresh Apple Fritters, Long Johns, Cherry Fritters, Bismarks, Cinnamon Twists, etc. each day at 2:00 in the afternoon, Monday-Friday. On Saturday's Donuts are fresh at 7:30 in the morning! Sadie and Josie's Donuts are deep fried in Soybean Oil by their brother Chris! Just think about it, fresh baked breads, rolls, cookies, muffins, pies, pastries, fudge, candied walnuts and cakes of all sorts and sizes, (birthday, wedding, and specialty cakes too).
